Manager Curricular Affairs (gn)


We are looking for an internal candidate to fill the position of 

Manager Curricular Affairs (gn)

in the Curricular Affairs unit.

The contract shall commence on 22 December 2025 and is limited to 12 months. 

Your tasks:
  • Direct supervision of some Associates and Student Assistants within the Curricular Affairs unit and related functions (task delegation, provision of feedback, general support of  colleagues)
  • Management and ongoing development of the course enrolment system in Academy 5
  • Budget management, invoice management, and financial planning and reporting
  • Accounting and reporting of Teaching Load Unit balances
  • Liaising with the Office of the Dean of Research and Faculty to collect information on Faculty capacities
  • General instructor relations management: Liaising with instructors, Faculty Assistants and Adjunct Support on teaching support matters
  • Drafting and managing Contracts of Works and Services for non-Faculty instructors, Teaching Assistants and guest speakers
  • Developing and continuously improving teaching-related information materials for instructors
  • Managing seminar rooms and teaching timetables, and publishing information on course scheduling
  • Planning and organizing Skills Workshops, and continuous development of Skills Workshops in coordination with the unit director and other units
  • Managing the contracts of the Student Assistants of Curricular Affairs
  • Overall coordination of course operations, including course capacity management, course scheduling, course budgeting, and course enrolment
  • Overall coordination of the master’s thesis cycle, including supervision allocation
  • General administrative support of the Curricular Affairs unit

Your profile:
  • This call is open only to candidates currently employed at the Hertie School
  • University degree and relevant experience in higher education administration or a comparable field
  • Experience in staff supervision and team coordination
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting
  • Experience with data management and data analysis
  • Interest in working with Campus Management systems (experience with Academy 5 is an asset)
  • Strong communication and service orientation in dealing with students, faculty and instructors
  • Fluency in English; German is an asset
