The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society. We are looking to fill the position of
Director IT (gn)
full-time (40 hours/week), to start as of 01 January 2026.
Your tasks:
- Disciplinary, financial and professional leadership of our IT-team, you will be reporting directly to our Managing Director
- Planning and implementation of an encompassing IT and digitization strategy across divisions in a modern and rapidly growing organisation
- Ensuring the School's IT governance and compliance
- Refining, optimisation and standardisation our internal IT infrastructure in cooperation with all relevant stakeholders
- Organising 1st, 2nd and 3rd-Level-Support for all users and their devices
Your profile:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business informatics, informatics, training as IT specialist for system integration with relevant further education or a comparable qualification
- 5+ years of professional experience, leadership experience is an asset
- Strong analytical IT background, proven IT project management skills
- Ability to communicate and process complex issues in a structured and target-group orientated manner
- High orientation to service and customer satisfaction as well as a sure instinct to moderate the technical and digital change
