Student Research Assistant – European Economic Policy and EU Politics (gn)
To support our economic policy team, we are looking for a
Student Research Assistant – European Economic Policy and EU Politics (gn)
part-time (10 hours/ week), starting as of 1 December 2026. The successful candidate will join the Jacques Delors Centre and support the Centre’s think tank work, primarily focused on the EU’s competitiveness and decarbonization policies. The contract is initially limited until 30 April 2027, with the possibility of an extension.
Your tasks:
•Support the Centre’s think tank work in developing analyses, in particular economic analyses, and policy recommendations
•Support the organization of expert workshops and high-level policy events
•Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on EU policies, such as clean industrial policy, the EU budget and fiscal rules, trade relations, and on EU politics and institutions
•Contribute to the writing of policy publications
Your profile:
•Enrolled at a German university and based in Berlin
•Bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, or a related field
•Good knowledge of EU institutions and policymaking
•Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; German and//or French is an advantage
•Experience in qualitative research as well as quantitative methodological skills. Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, or STATA is an advantage.
