Student Research Assistant – European Economic Policy (gn)


To support our economic policy team, we are looking for a

Student Research Assistant – European Economic Policy (gn)


on a part-time basis (15 - 20 hours per week).

The position starts in September 2025 and is initially limited until 30 April 2026. The successful candidate will join the Jacques Delors Centre and support the Centre’s think tank work focused on the EU’s competitiveness and decarbonization policies.

Your tasks:
  • Supporting the Centre’s think tank work in developing economic analyses and policy recommendations
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative research on EU policies, such as the EU budget and fiscal rules, trade relations, the green and just transition, and clean industrial policy
  • Supporting the writing of policy publications
  • Supporting the organization of expert workshops and high-level policy events
Your profile:
  • Enrolled at a German university and based in Berlin
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, or a related field
  • Good knowledge of EU institutions and policymaking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; German or French is an advantage
  • Experience in qualitative research as well as quantitative methodological skills and proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, or STATA
