Student Research Assistant - AI and Data Science in German Government Certificate Programme (gn)

We are looking for a

Student Research Assistant - AI and Data Science in German Government (gn)

part-time (10 hours/week), to start in August 2024. The successful candidate will work with the team of the AI Certificate Programme, an initiative funded by the Dieter Schwart Stiftung.

Your tasks:

  • Develop teaching materials and assignments
  • Support the content development of the training modules, which include modules on fundamentals of machine learning and data science
  • Research on case studies to be used for teaching
  • Harmonize materials across modules
  • Coordinate with module instructors on content development

Your profile:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and data science (e.g., equivalent to the first two semesters of the Master of Data Science for Public Policy or a comparable program)
  • Experience with R and Python
  • Excellent pedagogical skills (you should be able to break down key concepts for highly motivated professionals with no background in machine learning and data science)
  • Knowledge of challenges with the practical implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus
  • German language skills are a plus
