The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society. The school offers master’s programmes, executive education and doctoral programmes, distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research. To work in our human resources department, we are looking for a

Working Student (m/f/div) - Human Resources

part-time (10 - 20 hours/week).

We are an HR department with flat hierarchies, short decision-making processes and a strong service orientation in a dynamic and exciting market. Your tasks:

  • Together with our HR associates, you will support our employees in all phases of the employee lifecycle, especially in the areas of recruitment, benefits & compensation and on- and offboarding.
  • Collaboration in ongoing projects and taking on special tasks
  • Support in reporting and research on HR topics
  • Independent communication with our employees and participation in administrative processes, such as the preparation of contract documents and certificates

Your profile:

  • Enrolment at a German university (Hertie students cannot be considered for this position)
  • Organisational talent and service orientation
  • Proactive and pragmatic way of working and an eye for detail
  • Confident handling of MS Office modules
  • Interest in human resources work in a dynamic and international environment
  • Experience in office work and/or at a university is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of German and English, one of which is business fluent
