The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society. The school offers master’s programmes, executive education and doctoral programmes, distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research. We are looking for a

Student Assistant IT (gn)

part-time (up to 20 hours/week), to start as of 01 July 2024.

Your tasks:

  • Providing 1st level technical support via phone, email, ticketing system and in person;
  • Installation of hardware (workstations, printers, scanners, …) and software components and support their smooth operation and assist in on-boarding and off-boarding of staff;
  • Create user accounts and email addresses;
  • Participation in projects around IT service operations;
  • Creation and maintenance of user manuals and IT support documentation.

Your profile:

  • Enrolled at a German University for the duration of the contract in an IT focused field of studies. (Hertie students cannot be considered for this opportunity)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environment and Microsoft 365;
  • Excellent oral and written skill in English;
  • Hands-on approach and pro-active service orientation.
